Edward (Eddie) Buelna, 67, passed away on Sunday November 16th, 2025 from a sudden tear in his aorta. He spent 14 days in the CVICU at the University of Iowa hospital.

Eddie was born on September 24, 1958 in San Diego, California. Growing up he was a family man who quit school at the age of 16 to be able to work and take care of his family. At some point in his life he moved all the way to Wayland, Iowa, following a job. In 1996, here in Iowa, he met Tammy. His wife and love of his life. Together they had children. Tammy and Eddie spent 28 wonderful years together.

Dad had a few interest. He loved to work on cars, he was a “I can fix it” type of guy. He also was a huge football fan. His favorite team were the Raiders although he didn’t mind watching any football game. He loved grilling and drinking beer.

There are no plans for a memorial at the moment. Eddie was cremated.

He is widowed as his wife, Tammy, passed last year. Surviving family are his children, Mercedes Buelna(28), Michael Buelna(24), his mother. He has many siblings who are alive and some who have passed.
